Produced in Tavel, the heart of the Rhone Valley’s rosé production, this Côtes du Rhône rosé is crafted from 30+ year old vineyards planted in soils rich with calcareous sandstone and positioned on gently undulating slopes for optimal sun exposure.
The 2020 vintage is characterized by its earliness. In winter and spring there were very high temperatures, some of them confirmed as the highest in France over the past 80 years. Flowering started mid-May in optimal weather conditions through the beginning of June with a dry summer. 2020 was one of the earliest vintages harvested over the past 10 years, similar to 2015 and 2018. Les Cassagnes 2020 is supple, balanced and very elegant with a pure and clear fruit expression. This vintage is a ‘classic’ representative of the Les Cassagnes terroir.
Tasting Note
This pale pink rosé has a lot of tangerine, floral nuances and fresh zesty characters to offer. The mouth is round and seamless on the palate. The finish has a very good vivacity and lead to a fruity, juicy and energetic wine.
Food Pairing
A perfect pair with grilled fish and spaghetti in tomato sauce.

One of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s oldest estates, archives affirm Château La Nerthe’s existence as early as 1560 and suggest an even more distant past dating to the dawn of the region’s wine culture in the 12th century.
Ripe and meaty over elegant, with rose and almond notes, Cinsault’s relatively low tannins typically relegate it to blends with other varieties, as with Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel Rosé.
Grenache is loaded with dense, lusty aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackcurrant, jam, pepper and licorice, with a palate-coating texture and high alcohol.
Mourvèdre makes big, meaty, rustic wines high in alcohol, acidity and tannin, with moderate black fruit characters. Shows aromas and flavors of wild Provençal herbs, leather, mushrooms and barnyard.
