Produced in Tavel, the heart of the Rhône Valley’s rosé production, this Côtes du Rhône rosé is crafted from 30+ year old vineyards planted in soils rich with calcareous sandstone and positioned on gently undulating slopes for optimal sun exposure. Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted once they arrive in the cellar, and then undergo direct pressing in a pneumatic press for three hours. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled tanks at a low temperature to maintain its freshness, and ages for four months on fine lees in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Note

Pale pink with bluish hints, this rosé has aromas of strawberry and lemon with floral notes. On the palate, the wine is balanced and crisp with generous fruit notes of redcurrant and peach and a long finish.

About the Grape

Ripe and meaty over elegant, with rose and almond notes, Cinsault’s relatively low tannins typically relegate it to blends with other varieties, as with Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel Rosé.
Grenache is loaded with dense, lusty aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackcurrant, jam, pepper and licorice, with a palate-coating texture and high alcohol.
Mourvèdre makes big, meaty, rustic wines high in alcohol, acidity and tannin, with moderate black fruit characters. Shows aromas and flavors of wild Provençal herbs, leather, mushrooms and barnyard.
Grenache Blanc
This grape can produce an attractive, fleshy, generously fruity wine with a fragrance of flowers and dill.
