Benchland Select is a special blend of five clones of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the gently sloping western benchlands of Rutherford and Oakville. These vineyards benefit from cool afternoon shade provided by the Mayacamas Mountains, allowing the grapes to mature at a slow, even pace, and gravelly loam soils affording excellent drainage. Each lot is gently destemmed and fermented separately in small stainless-steel tanks designed to maximize color, flavor and tannin extraction.

Harvest Note
The 2022 growing season saw mild temperatures and steady ripening, creating ideal conditions for rich flavor development. Ongoing drought naturally controlled vine vigor, leading to concentrated aromas and depth. Warm weather persisted into harvest, allowing grapes to reach peak maturity with refined tannins and a beautiful structure.
Tasting Note
Bold aromas of black cherry and raspberry with notes of vanilla bean lead to a palate of rich dark fruits complemented by hints of mocha, nutmeg, and dried herbs. Silky, velvety tannins shape the structure.
