A blend of five Cabernet Sauvignon clones from the gently sloping western benchlands of Rutherford and Oakville. The vineyards benefit from cool afternoon shade from the Mayacamas Mountains, allowing grapes to mature at a slow, even pace, and gravelly loam soils with excellent drainage. Each lot is fermented separately with yeast strains, fermentation temperatures, maceration techniques and barrel regimens tailored to capture the character and attributes of each vineyard block in the final blend.

Harvest Note
Ample winter and spring rainfall replenished soils and supported healthy vine growth over the extended growing season. Moderate summer temperatures allowed fruit to ripen slowly and evenly. Warm days and cool evenings in September and October refined the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, enhancing aromatic complexity and flavor development.
Tasting Note
Aromas of ripe cherry and red currant, accented with notes of dried sage and clove. The palate is expressive with plush flavors of black cherry, dark plum, and blackberry, enriched by fig jam and hint of violet.
