The Willamette Valley Chardonnay from Résonance is sourced from both estate vineyards (Résonance, Découverte and the Home Ranch Vineyards) and top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine showcases the absolute best of the Willamette Valley, and elegantly blends Maison Louis Jadot’s winemaking with the Willamette Valley’s signature terroir.

Harvest Note
The winter 2021-2022 was relatively warm until an April snow and frost in Yamhill-Carlton. The spring stayed cold and wet which was helpful as it delayed the growing season as the vines recovered. The summer provided ample warmth, with dry conditions, and a warm September, gave unique conditions for the ripening period. In the Yamhill-Carlton vineyards, the warm and long summer conditions gave fruit with perfect ripeness despite low yeilds. In Decouverte and Koosah vineyards, the vintage saw amazing quality and stronger yields. The Chardonnay is expressive and concentrated.
Tasting Note
A wine with a bright golden color and an elegant nose of white flowers, lemon peel, fresh almond, white pepper and vanilla, and a generous palate. The volume in mouth is highlighted by a nice tension, fruity aromas and a subtle minerality.

About the Grape

Chardonnay
Though it has a distinctive profile, Chardonnay reflects other factors such as soil composition and vinification technique. Chardonnay is a reliable, hardy and prolific vine whose only real vulnerabilities are frost and uneven development of fruit.
