Harvest Note
Following a relatively warm winter, the growing season started out with dry weather conditions. Early heat in May was followed by cold periods in early June. Like in 2020, a cold and wet weather at the time of the blooming period caused smaller berries and clusters. The summer 2021 was warm and dry, with a heat spike at the end of June. From the end of August, the young vines started to show hydric stress, while the old vines withstood well. All our organic vineyards presented exceptional fruit quality, with small clusters. We harvested between September 8th - 12th. The fermentation of our Chardonnay went very well in barrels, showing aromatic complexity and tension.
Tasting Note
A wine with a clear golden color and a delicate nose of lemon blossom, jasmine, orange peel, fresh hazelnut and vanilla. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with citrus notes, and a nice minerality.

About the Grape

Chardonnay
Though it has a distinctive profile, Chardonnay reflects other factors such as soil composition and vinification technique. Chardonnay is a reliable, hardy and prolific vine whose only real vulnerabilities are frost and uneven development of fruit.
