A structured, golden apple-scented wine with hints of toasted almonds, light toast and subtle caramel. Well-balanced, rounded and composed

The 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley entices with a savory blend of crushed stone and wild herbs, giving way to crisp green apple. Cooling and round on the palate, it displays ripe orchard fruits and petty inner florals that swirl throughout. A lemony concentration, along with a bump of residual acidity and hints of vanilla custard, add lovely punctuation to the experience

The wine’s aromatics are a tropical vacation filled with grilled pineapple, citrus-like pikake flowers from a Hawaiian garden and a touch of coconut. White peach, orange and bitter almond flavors cruise a lean-clean texture, backed by crisp acidity

Still in barrel, the 2021 Chardonnay Willamette Valley is the first iteration of this wine from Résonance, made from both estate and purchased fruit. The nose opens with streaks of matchstick and crushed almonds that give way to a deep core of yellow apple, jasmine and touches of cream and butter. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive with savory layers energized by focused acidity, and it has a long, textural finish with alluring floral perfume.

Aromas of apricots, white peaches, white pears and nutmeg. It’s medium- to full-bodied with excellent density and focus. Fresh acidity. Subtle hints of spice. This is a new bottling of Willamette Valley fruit.
