The source of Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is Marlborough’s Wairau River Valley, where stony, sandy loam topsoil covers deep layers of free-draining shingle. This low-fertility soil reduces vigor, yielding lush, aromatic, ripe fruit. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, destemmed, and the free-run juice is cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Three months of aging on the lees and in stainless steel tanks provides body and complexity to the wine, before blending, fining, filtering and bottling.

Harvest Note
The 2020 vintage is expected to be one of the all time greatest in New Zealand. The season started out damp and warm until Christmas. It then transitioned to warm and dry throughout the ripening period resulting in grapes with perfect sugar-acid, balance and great concentration. Overall, Marlborough enjoyed perfect natural balance in the vineyard which lead to modest alcohol and bright acidity.
Tasting Note
In appearance, it's a pale lime to straw color. Notes of kaffir lime, passionfruit pulp and lemon zest dominate the nose. The palate features concentrated citrus and tropical fruits with a salivating acidity.
Food Pairing
Pair with ceviche, fresh oysters and wild rice salad.
