The source of Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc is Marlborough’s Wairau River Valley, where stony, sandy loam topsoil covers deep layers of free-draining shingle. This low-fertility soil reduces vigor, yielding lush, aromatic, ripe fruit. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, destemmed, and the free-run juice is cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks. Three months of aging on the lees and in stainless steel tanks provides body and complexity to the wine, before blending, fining, filtering and bottling.

Harvest Note
A warm spring with minimal frost events followed by a summer that started warm and transitioned into a moderate spring. Several rain events in late summer early fall made this a challenging harvest with rewarding results.
Tasting Note
Pale lime to pale straw in color, this fresh and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc has all the hallmarks of this classic region. Honey melon, freshly cut passion fruit, and wild thyme leap from the glass. The palate has a bright and crunchy acidity that balances the concentration of fruit on the mid-palate. There’s more citrus fruit character than recent vintages, which will serve the drinker well.
Food Pairing
Pair with ceviche, fresh oysters and wild rice salad.
