This is a Cru Beaujolais assembled from three important vineyards within the Morgon appellation. Vines grow here in both pink granite and blue Diorite. These conditions tend to result in wines with darker fruit notes, more tannins, and bolder structure. All fruit is manually harvested, rigorously sorted, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in concrete vats and oak barrels for 10 months.

2021 vintage
Harvest Note
2021 was a historic growing season across France and Beaujolais was not spared. Mild winter triggered early budbreak which was then subject to the catastrophic frost of early April. The growing season was generally cool and unusually wet stunting the vines and stimulating disease pressures. Harvest finally occurred in mid-September with work shifted to the cellar for dramatic triage and gentle extractions. The vintage was rescued and the wines exhibit delicate aromas and bright character.
Tasting Note
With hints of clove and blackberry, this medium weight red wine has a bold presence and long finish. The tannins are chewy and will refine with a bit of age, while offering a nice complement to protein-based cuisines.
Food Pairing
Perfect with steak, burgers, roast or grilled meats.
