Harvest Note
The growing season was especially warm and dry in 2016, giving perfect conditions for maturity. The grapes were ripe and flavors were well developed. 2016 is well balanced with nice aromatic complexity and a harmonious tannin structure.
Tasting Note
This wine with a bright garnet color reveals a delicate and complex nose of raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry flavors accented by black peppers and hints of cinnamon. The vintage and the vineyard site offers a sleek and pure expression of red fruits and minerality from the gold basalt in conjunction with a well-built and harmonious structure.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with lightly seasoned red meats, chicken, turkey, lamb and root vegetables.

About the Grape

Pinot Noir
In France, makes a silky, deceptively powerful wine of elegant, complex aromas and subtle, red fruit flavors, with earthy, floral, mushroom and mineral notes. In California, shows ripe, sweet characters.
