Harvest Note
Following a cold winter, the beginning of Spring was rainy, however, from May the growing season was ideal, sunny and dry, without rain. July and August were some of the warmest and driest on record, but without the heat spikes of 2016 and 2017. From mid-September, two weeks of cool nights, following a few days of rain, helped the end of the maturation and allowed grapes to develop a complex aromatic profile and to retain a nice acidity. And gave us a perfect weather for the harvest from September 18th, to the beginning of October.
Tasting Note
The wine reflects a beautiful and brilliant garnet color, with an expressive and complex nose of strawberry, plum, wild cherry, almond and licorice. The wine reveals an elegant palate, vibrant and complex, with delicate notes of noble wood, and very long and mineral finale.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with lightly seasoned red meats, chicken, turkey, lamb and root vegetables.

About the Grape

Pinot Noir
In France, makes a silky, deceptively powerful wine of elegant, complex aromas and subtle, red fruit flavors, with earthy, floral, mushroom and mineral notes. In California, shows ripe, sweet characters.
