The fruit for this wine comes from vineyards near the town of Gavi, where calcareous clay, volcanic, iron and chalky limestone soils together with the area’s mediating Mediterranean breezes and cool mountain winds create an ideal microclimate for growing the Cortese grape to optimal ripeness. The 100% Cortese grapes are pressed without crushing, and the must is cold settled before undergoing a low-temperature fermentation. The wine is aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks until bottling.

Harvest Note
2020 started with a mild, dry winter. The first part of spring was dry and sunny but May and June were particularly rainy, which slowed down vegetative development and allowed for an abundant accumulation of essential water resources for the summer season that was not excessively hot and dry. What sets this vintage apart is the ideal climate during the most crucial stage: September has been mild and dry. This enabled the grapes to grow healthily and reach perfect ripeness. Harvest was carried out in the usual period from September 6th to the 22nd.
Tasting Note
Straw yellow with brilliant green hues. Elegant, fresh with the scents of golden apple, acacia flower, citrus and bread crust. Well-structured, fragrant. Good length with a finish which is round and savory.
