The Cortese grapes are selected from vineyards of clay marl soil rich in iron located on high hills near the town of Gavi. The sea breezes from the Ligurian Sea and cool mountain winds from the Apennine Mountains create a micro-climate ideal for growing Cortese grapes to optimal ripeness. The grapes are pressed without crushing and the must is cold settled before undergoing a low-temperature fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 3 to 4 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

Harvest Note
The 2022 vintage was a challenging one. Overall it was warm and dry, with high temperatures and a long summer with scarce rain. The water shortage was so severe that the Regione Piemonte issued a waiver to allow vineyard irrigation. Harvest was an early one, with grapes that revealed excellent qualities.
Tasting Note
Straw yellow with bright green hues, this elegant wine offers notes of golden apple, lemon, acacia flower, and bread crust. The finish is long and savory.
Food Pairing
Grilled fish, sushi, meat carpaccio
