This is a Cru Beaujolais assembled from three unique climats within the Fleurie appellation. This terroir is steeply sloped with very thin soils of decomposed granite. All fruit is manually harvested, rigorously sorted, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in concrete vats and oak barrels for 10 months.

Harvest Note
2021 was a historic growing season across France and Beaujolais was not spared. Mild winter triggered early budbreak which was then subject to the catastrophic frost of early April. The growing season was generally cool and unusually wet stunting the vines and stimulating disease pressures. Harvest finally occurred in mid-September with work shifted to the cellar for dramatic triage and gentle extractions. The vintage was rescued and the wines exhibit delicate aromas and bright character.
Tasting Note
This wine is a classic expression of Fleurie, which as the name implies is quite floral. Aromas of roses and peonie are supported by strawberry and damp earth nuances. The texture is quite fine and elegant with a very long finish.
Food Pairing
Ideal for both fine and casual cuisines, anything from grilled meats or stews to barbecue.
