The vines for this cru or single-vineyard Brunello are more than 45 years old. Low yields and strict viticultural practices allow the Sangiovese Grosso grape to reach perfect ripeness, and Tenute Silvio Nardi carefully selects the finest grapes during a manual harvest in the first half of October. After a complete destemming, the must undergoes fermentation and maceration at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures in French Allier oak barriques, followed by large Slavonian oak barrels, with subsequent aging in bottles.
