2022 vintage
Harvest Note
2022 remains the driest year since 1800. The 2022 harvest year was characterized by a rather warm winter season, with temperatures slightly above average for the period lasting until early April. Warm and dry weather also prevailed throughout the summer. Rainfall was concentrated in very few days. The phenological development of the vine was very regular in the budding phase and with a splendid flowering favored by the warm and dry weather. Water stress affected the entire summer period, altering the physiological cycle of the vine with an acceleration on fruit set and veraison. Although the vineyards were severely tested by the climatic conditions, from a phytosanitary point of view, the situation appeared excellent, with very few pathogenic attacks, circumscribed and well managed by appropriate interventions in the field. The grape harvest started 7-8 days earlier than in 2021, and the harvest season began in the last ten days of August.
Tasting Note
The pale straw yellow color, the intense floral and fruity bouquet with notes of banana, tropical fruits and white peach, and the savory, balanced flavor describe the typical traits of a pleasant, pleasantly fresh and light wine.
Food Pairing
Pairs perfectly with tasty fish dishes, such as prawns, spaghetti or potatoes gnocchi with mussels and clams. It combines very well with fresh pasta and tomato sauces or vegetable soup.
