This is Maison Louis Jadot's first project in Oregon. This signature estate Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the dry-farmed Résonance Vineyard, planted on un-grafted rootstock in 1981. These Pinot Noir grapes were handpicked just steps from the Winery and hand-sorted upon arrival. During elevage, the juice is controlled with a light touch honed over 170 years of winemaking in Burgundy, boosting each vintage to achieve its most natural elegance and complexity. Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir unveils the immense character, the “somewhereness” of this original site, within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.

Harvest Note
The winter 2021-2022 was relatively warm until an April snow and frost in Yamhill-Carlton. The spring stayed cold and wet which was helpful as it delayed the growing season as the vines recovered. The summer provided ample warmth, with dry conditions, and a warm September, gave unique conditions for the ripening period.October had a similar weather, with warm days and cool nights, bringing the Pinot noir to a perfect ripeness. The clusters were small, with dark color and high concentration. From the first days of maceration, the Pinot noir revealed expressive and fruity aromas, with amazing color and purity in mouth.
Tasting Note
The wine, with an intense and bright ruby color, displays complex aromas of black currant, blueberry, violet, licorice, cocoa bean, cigar leaf and noble wood. The palate is generous and dense, with refined tannins and velvet texture, offering a feeling of harmony. The finish is especially long, with a unique minerality.
