Damask Blanc is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown on estate vineyards in Carneros. It encompasses the widest range of estate clones and vineyard blocks of the winery’s collection. This sparkling brut is crafted using exacting méthode traditionnelle standards. The cool Carneros fruit and meticulous winemaking results in elegant wines of depth and complexity that are enhanced by a minimum of three years of bottle age sur lie in the cellar before release.
Harvest Note
Winter and spring rain filled our reservoirs and supported healthy vines. The growing season was consistent and mild with the moderating influence of the Carneros marine layer allowing the grapes to mature slowly. Slightly lower than average yields resulted in high-quality wines with balance, depth of flavor and both power and finesse.
Tasting Note
On the nose, this wine displays lovely notes of honey, pear and lemon zest with a hint of light toastiness. The palate reveals nuances of baked apple, almond paste, and brioche that complement the nose.
