Domaine Carneros harvests estate-grown, green certified Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from its vineyards in Carneros to craft small quantities of this beautifully balanced Brut Rosé. To capture the wine’s special fruit character, some of the Pinot Noir juice is allowed several days’ contact with the grape skins to extract color and flavor. Our Brut Rosé Sparkling showcases the fruitiness of the Pinot Noir to a greater extent than our Brut.
The wine’s aroma, delivered on a delicate mousse, hints of strawberry, tangerine, orange blossom, marmalade, and potpourri. The palate displays peach, apricot, watermelon and a touch of underlining honey for a soft, delicate mouthfeel and a smooth, long finish. Despite its color, it is a true Brut – as dry as our other wines. And while Domaine Carneros Brut Rosé is enjoyable at a young age, it will also gain wonderful complexity with aging.
