A wine made from very old Aglianico vines, some grown over 50 years ago. After the clusters are de- stemmed and pressed, the must is cold-macerated, then ferments for some 20 days at 68°F. The wine is then drawn off and completes the malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, then a traditional stay in large ovals, followed by some 3 months’ bottle ageing. Rich in sandy clays, quartz sandstones, and fossil beds.

Harvest Note
The 2021 harvest was marked by a warm and dry growing season, leading to lower yields but excellent grape quality. Aglianico benefitted from the long ripening period, enhancing tannin structure. Winemakers consider 2021 a high-quality vintage, producing wines with strong aging potential and balanced acidity.
Tasting Note
Brilliant red color with intense bouquet of spices, blackberries, ripe red fruit and a warm, full velvety flavor.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with pepperoni pizza, spaghetti puttanesca, Italian salami.
