Atop the hierarchy of Beaujolais Crus are Moulin-à-Vent and Morgon, with notable aging potential. Often called the most “Burgundian” cru, Moulin-à-Vent shows complexity, finesse and length. Château des Jacques Moulin-à-Vent can age at least 10-20 years. Following harvest, a portion of the grapes are destemmed before the wine is vinified in closed vats with pumping over. Finally, the wine matures in oak barrels.

Tasting Note

This full, robust Beaujolais offers a fleshy texture and greater longevity than any other Beaujolais cru. Its exceptional structure supports vivid red fruit aromas.

Food Pairing

Moulin-à-Vent is perfect with lighter red meat dishes.
