Oreno was first created in 1999 by Dr. Antonio Moretti Cuseri, an avid winelover, who, during his frequent travels, was impressed by the elegance and finesse of Bordeaux grapes, so much so, that he decided to plant the varieties at his own estate. He grafted established vineyards with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, which adapt extremely well to the terroirs of Tuscany. The name Oreno comes from a stream that crosses the estate, precisely in an area rich in clay, where Sette Ponti's Merlot vines grow.

Harvest Note
Moderately higher yields and more stable growing conditions. A rainy spring increased disease pressure, but a generally warm and balanced summer supported steady vine development. Late-season conditions allowed proper ripening, resulting in very good grape quality, with balanced acidity, moderate alcohol levels, and good phenolic maturity.
Tasting Note
Vibrant aromas of cassis, violets, licorice, pencil shavings and graphite. Full-bodied, it displays a dynamic palate with dense, velvety tannins, fruit concentration and crisp, integrated acidity, which keeps it in balance.
