In 2018, Marchese Giovanni and his wife, La Marchesa Tara decided to experiment with Grechetto to make a monovarietal wine to drink in their private home. The wine was very well-received and they decided to offer it to their most supportive markets. Grechetto is the most representative white grape in Umbria. Historically it consists in one of the oldest grapes growing on the Umbrian territory. This variety originates from the ancient romans civilization and was mentioned by Plinio in his De Historia Naturalis.

2022 vintage
Harvest Note
2022 vintage was an unconventional vintage since the winter was quite mild; it followed a spring rich of rain showers and storms; the summer assisted to extremely hot temperatures and drought that went on until the end of the summer. The rain between September and October balanced the moisture pretty well and the quality of the grapes was good and with a rich sugar concentration.
Tasting Note
Bright and refreshing with aromas of white flowers and flavors of tropical fruit. There is also a strong, but pleasant mineral component that is very evident on the palate providing complexity and mouth feel.
Food Pairing
Can be drank as an aperitif but its structure and minerality also pair nicely with salads, seafood and white meat dishes.
