This is a Cru Beaujolais from the most important terroir within the Morgon appellation. Vines grow here in ancient soils based upon both granite and also blue Diorite. These conditions tend to result in wines with darker fruit notes, more tannins, and bolder structure. All fruit is manually harvested, rigorously sorted, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in concrete vats and oak barrels for 10 months.

Harvest Note
This was a very warm and early vintage with a slight lack of moisture which reduced the harvest volumes while ensuring complexity and phenolic ripeness.
Tasting Note
An overall darker and more densely structured texture marks the initial impression for these wines. As the complex layers unfold there are impressions of black fruit, Asian spice notes, and a dramatically long finish.
