This wines begins in the El Arcangel de Marchigüe estate vineyards. The decomposed granite soils left behind by glacial and colluvional activity mix with more recent deposits of clay and organic matter. Both the Syrah and the Grenache that go into this rosé are planted to a density of 13,727 plants per acre, trained to vertical shoot position, and produce average yields of up to 22,239 per acre. The plants are managed to maintain optimal foliage until harvest, which helps obtain fruit with an excellent ratio of sugar to acidity.

Harvest Note
The 2017-2018 growing season was ideal in the pace and intensity of the plant development as well as in final quality. It began with abundant winter rainfall (1.4 ft) throughout the entire central zone and in the Leyda Valley. This enabled a significant amount of water to accumulate in the soil, and subsequently, supported optimal development of the grapes. The spring was frost free, which allowed for good budbreak and fruit set. The summer was cool in comparison with recent years, and the hottest month had an average high temperature of 77°F. This encouraged slow ripening with excellent preservation of natural acidity and aromatic expression in the grapes. The cool summer conditions delayed the harvest, which saw no rain, resulting in near perfect conditions and quality of fruit at the time of picking.
Tasting Note
The nose is very intense with tropical aromas of pineapple and mango over a layer of fresh raspberries, sour cherries, and pomegranate. A certain floral notes confers a perfumed and cheerful finish. The palate is fresh and well balance with juicy acidity and good breadth that lends a sweet sensation.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with pork, Pasta, cheeses, sushi, salads and white meat.
