Contrada Santo Spirito is the latest project from Antonio Moretti Cuseri, the owner of the world class Tenuta Sette Ponti and Podere Orma in Tuscany and Feudo Maccari in Noto, Sicily. Dr. Morretti fell in love with the estate, which is located between Passopisciaro and Randazzo at the foot of Mount Etna, located in the province of Catania which is considered one of the most beautiful places in Italy. The 35 acres estate is located at 2297 feet above sea level and is planted to indigenous varieties, Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Minnella.

Harvest Note
After a Spring slightly ahead of the average season, there was little precipitation throughout the growing phase. This reduced vegetation and provided less then generous quantities. Towards the end of the season, scattered rain showers elevated the plants from the long dry phase, allowing for a full and complete maturation in terms of phenolic and technological. While yields might have low, quality did not suffer.
Tasting Note
Animalucente is an elegant wine characterized by its straw yellow color with golden highlights. Flavor rich, intense, with immediate freshness and a bouquet of ripe, elegant fruit. In the mouth, the wine is enveloping and well-rounded with citrus notes. Very good length and beautiful after taste.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with white meats and grilled fish.
