The vines are planted on a combination of soils, pebbles, gravel and volcanic ash. The altitude allows for a significant day time temperature swing . This allows the grapes to reach full ripeness but keeps the mouth-watering freshness for which the wines from Etna are famous. The soul of the silent volcano, unexpected and incandescent, gives life to perpetual movement. A force of nature that is irrepressible and seductive, and an expression of a unique terroir.
Tasting Note
Intense ruby red in color, with garnet hints. On the nose, the wine expresses floral notes with delicate and intense violet notes. On the palate it’s a harmonious and well-defined wine with elegant tannins and a sapid and mineral persistence.
