Bouvet Ladubay is one of France’s greatest producers of méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine from the Loire Valley. Bouvet sources its fruit from over 100 plots through long-standing relationships with winegrowers. The region is known for its tuffeau stone, a local chalky limestone used to build the numerous castles that dot the Loire Valley. This limestone soil is ideal for the cultivation of Chenin Blanc. All grapes are hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle and the wine spends a minimum of 18 months on the lees. The cellars of Bouvet are an ancient tuffeau stone quarry, the perfect environment for aging wine.
