The Comtes Rosé is made from 100% Grand Cru grapes and produced only in exceptional years. The Chardonnay grapes come from the most renowned vineyards of the prestigious Côte des Blancs, and the Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. Only juice from the first pressing is used in order to ensure the structure and long aging potential that is so essential to this exceptional Champagne. 12% of the Pinot Noir is blended in as still red wine.
Harvest Note
The 2012 vintage emerged from a year of dramatic climate contrasts, with early challenges nearly threatening the vines before a sun-filled late summer allowed the grapes to achieve rare maturity. The Chardonnay offers elegance and mineral precision, while the Pinot Noir brings depth, power, and expressive red fruit, creating a harmonious balance worthy of the Comtes de Champagne style. Built for patience, this singular millésime will continue to evolve beautifully with time, revealing even greater complexity and refinement.
Tasting Note
This Champagne features extraordinarily delicate bubbles and a fresh, highly refined nose with complex aromas of wild strawberries, cherries and black currants with hints of fresh almonds and licorice. On the palate, the fruit flavor intensifies and leads into a rich, structured midpalate and a generous finish that maintains balance and freshness.
