The Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from top vineyards throughout Napa Valley, including, from south to north, Estate ranches in Carneros, Suscol Springs, Rutherford and Calistoga. The exceptional fruit from these sites produces a rich, complex Sauvignon Blanc that is simultaneously fresh, crisp and zesty. Grapes are harvested during the cool nighttime hours to fully capture their fresh, pure flavors and vibrant acidity. Whole-cluster-pressing of the fruit under anaerobic conditions maximizes varietal intensity while minimizing the extraction of astringent compounds from the skins. In 2021, we fermented 94% of the juice in stainless steel tanks and 4% in concrete eggs to soften the acidity. Following fermentation, the wine aged five months in neutral French oak barrels, with a small amount (4%) aging in concrete.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was low yielding yet incredibly high quality in Napa Valley. A dry winter followed by a warm spring and summer led to an early harvest notable for its exceptional quality. The grapes ripened to perfection, leading to effortlessly complex, bright wines.
Tasting Note
Aromas of fresh sweet citrus, grapefruit, and melon with complex notes of green pear, freshly cut hay, and stony minerality. Light bodied and elegant on the palate, a beautiful through line of bright, citrusy acidity defines the wine with vibrant flavors of ripe melon, grapefruit, and citrus zest before the smooth, refreshing finish.
Food Pairing
Aromas of pink grapefruit, ripe melon, and sweet citrus. The citrus and melon characters carry over onto a bright fruit palate, supported by crisp acidity and elevated by a hint of mineral citrus on the finish.
