Rotenberg Vineyard is named for its red, iron-rich soil. It enjoys a cool climate due to its altitude (300m) and proximity to the forest. Pinot Gris is best-suited to this vineyard's limestone soils. The Rotenberg produces small yields of concentrated grapes which can also develop noble rot. The wine is aged 18 months in 40-year-old French barrels.
