The Rigogoli, or “golden orioles", is a wine that was created as a tribute to the family of Marchese Giovanni Incisa della Rocchetta and gets its name from Giovanni’s beloved grandfather, Il Principe Corsini. Who was more affectionately known as Nonno Pio, who would greet Giovanni and his sister, Eleonora dressed by their mother in bright yellow jumpers, exclaiming, “Ecco i miei rigogoli!”.

Harvest Note
2021 registered a cold and rainy winter but also an unusual warm temperature in early spring interrupted by a few days of freezy climate: this caused a lower grape production but good in quality.
Tasting Note
Creamy and refreshing, Rigogoli bursts with flavors of peach, almond, sweet spice and finishes with a clean, sea-swept minerality. The native Grechetto di Todi pairs well with Viognier which rounds out Grechetto’s acidity, but also serves to add more complex aromas to this wine.
Food Pairing
Rich and full bodied Rigogoli is perfect for pasta courses with meat sauce/ragout, shell fish, medium aged cheeses
