The Montes Classic Chardonnay hails from some of the finest Chardonnay-growing sites in Chile's Casablanca and Curico Valleys. The Casablanca Valley contributes a cool climate expression of Chardonnay with fresh citrus and floral notes, while the warmer Curico Valley adds tropical components to the blend including pineapple, peaches and apricots.

Harvest Note
The 2018-2019 season began with a winter of mild temperatures and moderate rainfall, followed by a rainy and cool spring that allowed irrigation to begin later in the season. This way it was possible to reserve more water than expected for the summer period. Towards the month of December the climate stabilized reaching normal temperatures for the time of year, with 53.6º F of minimum and near 82º F maximum. Temperatures stayed warm in January and February, to later give way to a cooler month of March, with the presence of cold mornings and nights, which which helped preserve the natural acidity of white varieties and protect their aromas. This helped us especially to wait more calmly for the optimal harvest time, which ended 20 days after the previous year.
Tasting Note
Pale yellow in color tinged with gold. The expressive nose offers notes of white peaches, pineapple, and fresh apricots with vanilla and toasted nut aromas in the background. The palate is well balanced with fresh acidity and a fruit-driven finish
