Ladoix is a small appellation at the north edge of the Corton hill, with vineyards planted to both chardonnay and pinot noir. This was the site of several ancient stone quarries and the soils are in fact full of rock shards. White wines here are typically bright and energetic with stony citrus elements most enjoyable soon after release.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
Citrusy and tart, this is a medium-weight wine with vibrant energy and palate presence.
Food Pairing
This will accompany most casual cuisines from salads to sushi, or baked seafood.
