The village of Ladoix is located in the north of the Côte de Beaune at the foot of the Corton hill facing east–southeast. The Chardonnay grapes are fermented in vats for about 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for about 15 months.

Harvest Note
This was a somewhat turbulent growing season. Lack of soil moisture and a poor fruit set diminished the harvest volumes.
Tasting Note
Subtle apple and lime aromas are matched with a sense of wet, stony earth. This is lively and moderately tart, with a tingling acidity.
Food Pairing
Ideal as an aperitif or with casual summer cuisine such as seafood salads, ceviche, or grilled shrimp.

About the Grape

Though it has a distinctive profile, Chardonnay reflects other factors such as soil composition and vinification technique. Chardonnay is a reliable, hardy and prolific vine whose only real vulnerabilities are frost and uneven development of fruit.
