This is a red wine composed of fruit from up to 14 different villages in the Cote de Beaune and Saone-et-Loire communes. Blended components may change from vintage to vintage. Production is consistent with all Jadot red wines, with fermentation in tanks and aging in oak barrels with 1/3 new oak.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
This is a medium-bodied, elegant and refreshing red wine. Aromas include red berry, damp earth and hints of coffee and smoke. Tannins are restrained and soft. This is a wine for early consumption rather than aging.
