Jadot owns an important and centrally located parcel within this famously large Grand Cru. Recent climate change has shifted the "sweet spot" for the Clos toward the Jadot section, and wines in recent vintages have become more complex, better balanced, and more complete. Vinification aligns with the classic Jadot approach with restrained use of new oak and long aging in cask. These are wines which will age for decades.

Harvest Note
This was a very warm and early vintage with a slight lack of moisture which reduced the harvest volumes while ensuring complexity and phenolic ripeness
Tasting Note
Initial notes of mocha, candied cherry, and sweet tobacco evolve over time to an array of secondary nuances (dried flower, spiced strawberry, sandalwood) in a full and complex structure. The typical chewy tannins become refined and silky as this wine ages.
