This is one of the central terroirs of the Beaune slope, broken into multiple separate plots which descend the hillside in several terraced sections. Subsoils range from thin soils with stones near the top to dense clay and marls near the base. Typically the final wine blends the varied component parts to produce a unified single wine.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
This is a medium-full wine with aromas of red berries, earth, and subtle spice. Initially tannic, after only a few years of age the texture becomes refined and expansive, with complex floral notes over the long finish.
Food Pairing
A perfect compliment to grilled or roast meats, and with several years of age it will suit more subtle and complex dishes
