From a vineyard at the core of the Jadot range, acquired in 1826 from the Convent of the Ursulines. This terroir is ideally situated mid-slope with clay and marl soils, and produces one of the most highly-regarded wines of the Beaune appellation. Production adheres to customary Jadot practices - manual harvest, natural yeast fermentation, and aging in oak for 18 months.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
Dense and dramatic when young with aromas of woodsmoke, coffee and blue fruits. This is full-bodied and tannic, needing time to fully integrate and refine, at which point the complex range of floral, fruit, and spice notes fully emerge.
Food Pairing
A perfect compliment to grilled or roast meats, and with several years of age it will suit more subtle and complex dishes
