This 5 acre parcel is one of the oldest in the Jadot range since it's acquistion in1836. Superbly situated on a steep, south-facing slope of red clay and small stones, this terroir benefits from full sun exposure and excellent drainage. The site's high altitude is felt in the dense yet ethereal nature of the wines, especially after a few years of aging.

Harvest Note
This was a very warm and early vintage with a slight lack of moisture which reduced the harvest volumes while ensuring complexity and phenolic ripeness
Tasting Note
The wine has a shimmering dark ruby color, with initial aromas of red berry fruit and smoky earth. As the wine opens more subtle floral and spice notes appear, with hints of fern, woodsmoke, and iris. The finish is long and elegant, with fine tannins and supporting acidity carrying the wine across the palate.
Food Pairing
Highly versatile, this red wines is ideal with all roasted meats but also with hearty preparations of tuna or salmon. When mature this is an ideal accompaniment to aged or salty cheese.
