The Beaune vineyards are the most extensive of the Côte de Beaune, with a high number of Premiers Crus (36) due to the ideal incline of the majority of these vineyards. Clos des Couchereaux is situated on top of the slope, with a southern exposure. The clay and calcareous soil is well drained and warms easily in the sun. This Pinot Noir wine is fermented in tanks and matured in barrels for 12 to 15 months before bottling.
The vineyard’s southern exposure gives this wine powerful, mature red fruit aromas. Rich and well structured, this will age 12 to 15 years in the bottle.
