This terroir is also one of the earliest acquisitions of the Jadot range, and lies slightly downslope from the Clos des Ursules and towards the border with Pommard. Soils here are deep red clay and retain moisture well.

Harvest Note
The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
Tasting Note
Typical Boucherottes aromas include blue and black fruit, ground espresso, and damp earth. This wine is full-bodied and rather tannic and closed upon release, then gradually integrating and becoming more generous with time. Eventually the full range of floral, spice and bright fruit notes emerge across a long and elegant textural finish.
Food Pairing
A perfect compliment to grilled or roast meats, and with several years of age it will suit more subtle and complex dishes
