Reserved aromas include those of the perfumed essence of red cherry, sandalwood and spiced tea hints. There is again fine volume to the caressing, delicious and vibrant flavors.
This is aromatically ripe but quite pure with lovely freshness to the mostly dark berry aromas that are laced with plenty of spice and earth nuances. There is fine richness and excellent verve in the context of the 2018 vintage to the reasonably delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent volume and focused power that builds on the balanced and lingering finish.
A bright version, notable for its vein of pure cherry fruit, backed by mineral and oak spice. It’s well-proportioned.
The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Boucherottes (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) was showing especially well, mingling aromas of raspberries and plums with hints of rose hips, raw cocoa and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it’s bright and precise, with a charming, seamless profile.
Ripe dark-cherry flavors run deep in this clean, violet-scented Beaune. There’s some earthiness to the tannins, with an underlying note of fresh mushrooms to complement the firm, juicy flavors of the fruit.
