Alta Vista Estate Cabernet Franc comes from high elevation vineyards in the Uco Valley. This cooler microclimate provides fresh acidity and firm tannins that support the beautiful aromatics in this wine.
This growing season was very typical - allowing for healthy and full maturation of the grapes. The region saw little rain, with warm daytime temperatures and cool nights.
Tasting Note
Intense ruby-red color, with aromas of bay leaf, plum, cherry, and cinnamon. Silky ripe fruit, fresh acidity and fine knit tannins carry throughout the finish. Increibly complex, Privada drinks more like a Bordeaux than an average Malbec.
Food Pairing
Pair with grilled meats and vegetables, herb-rubbed chicken, or sharp, nutty cheeses.
