

Jessica Baumgartner grew up in Central Texas and earned a degree in Horticulture with a Business minor from Texas A&M University. She currently serves as Director of Vineyard Operations at Cakebread Cellars, where she oversees more than 600 planted acres of vineyards across Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties.
Her work focuses on regenerative farming, sustainability, soil health, biodiversity, and producing grapes of exceptional quality for premium wine production.
With extensive experience in vineyard operations, grower relations, and strategic vineyard development, Jessica has led premium winegrowing programs and large-scale redevelopment projects throughout California’s North Coast. Prior to joining Cakebread Cellars, she held leadership positions with Far Niente Family of Wineries & Vineyards, where she managed estate vineyards and grower partnerships across a portfolio of acclaimed luxury wine brands.
A passionate advocate for quality wine growing and regenerative viticulture, Jessica has helped advance farming practices that enhance wine quality, soil health, increase biodiversity, improve climate resilience, and support the long-term stewardship of the land.
