Clos de Beauvenir is a walled-in single vineyard that was formerly the castle garden. Plane trees protect it from the wind and provide shade, and a natural spring creates a microclimate that is warm during the day and cool at night. The soil is loamy and sandy with a layer of galets. The hand-harvested grapes are slowly pressed for 3 hours. Low-temperature fermentation takes place in French oak demi-muids and the wine is aged on fine lees for 9 months.
