This wine originates from a 4.65 acre parcel in the commune of Ladoix-Serrigny, at the northernmost border of the Cote de Beaune. The terroir of Le Clou d'Orge is a stony sloping site, just below an ancient quarry, and a small sector is classified as Premier Cru, although this white wine is classified Villages. All viticulture here is certified Organic and the harvest is vinified at the Jadot winery in Beaune in the same manner as all Jadot whites.

Harvest Note
2023 was a hot and dry growing season which was saved by significant rain in June. This allowed the vines to withstand summer heat and drought and led to ideal sanitary conditions and a modest yield yet concentrated vintage."

Chardonnay
Though it has a distinctive profile, Chardonnay reflects other factors such as soil composition and vinification technique. Chardonnay is a reliable, hardy and prolific vine whose only real vulnerabilities are frost and uneven development of fruit.
