Quinta da Pedra dates back to the 17th century. It is situated in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, a sub region of the Vinho Verde appellation, where Alvarinho excels. The property’s dry farmed 155 acres benefit from pure granite soils on gentle slopes with perfect exposure. Fermentation begins in temperature controlled stainless steel, then finishes for at least 12 months in very old, used French oak
barrels (10+ year old). Bâtonnage is carried out for 6 months.
