The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. Savigny-lès-Beaune Blanc is a blend of Pinot Blanc, which lends a mellow texture, and Chardonnay, which provides finesse and the potential to age. Fermentation and maturation takes place in oak barrels for a total of 15 to 17 months.

Côte de Beaune Village Wines
In the Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet are the three most famous white wine villages. Meursault is often considered masculine in style compared to Puligny-Montrachet, which is charming, elegant and feminine. About the Grape

Chardonnay
Though it has a distinctive profile, Chardonnay reflects other factors such as soil composition and vinification technique. Chardonnay is a reliable, hardy and prolific vine whose only real vulnerabilities are frost and uneven development of fruit.
